Wise Consumers Basic Tips To Umbrella Lamps And Lights
As outdoor lighting fixtures have become decorative, it appears as though manufacturers lower quality to cut costs. When costs are trim down, more people can afford to buy this type of light. As lights become more abundant in people's yards, lots of home owners look for unique light fittings to set themselves apart from others. One very unique and surreal version of light are umbrella lights. Outdoor patio umbrella lights attach to any outdoor umbrella to create excellent lighting at nighttime. When your garden is well lit, there is a much higher possibility that it would be used regularly. Umbrella lighting is much more unique compared to most other lights on the market today.
Umbrella lights are quite easy to install. The pole mount varieties attach to your umbrella's stick by snapping in place. The string light varieties snap onto your umbrella veins and connect to a central receptacle. Solar fueled models require no outside power supply other than direct sunlight during the day. Unless you yet own an umbrella, think about selecting a pre-lit one. Pre-lit umbrellas have the lights already installed for your comfort. The disadvantage in these ones is because you cannot take away the lights should your tastes change. You can, however, turn them on or off as needed.
Westinghouse has fashioned a very convenient umbrella mount that mounted on the umbrella's pole. While not solar powered, it does operate for as much as 40 hours on a single set of 4 AA batteries. To hook up it to an umbrella, merely separate the halves and just click it into place around the pole. The long lasting white plastic material casing shields the electronics to secure it for outdoor use. LED light bulbs surround the entire disc, projecting brightness 360 degrees below. The LEDs are white in shade, the ideal type of light for various atmospheres and purposes.
A moderately different umbrella mount is actually the one from Rite Lite. This mount includes four separate light pods that each hold a set of LED lights within. This light can switch between amber and white light to improve the mood. In addition, the amber colored lights perform well at deterring flying insects. A total of forty LED bulbs provide sufficient light to any outdoor environment. It is activated by a simple on/off switch on the side. A dimmer switch permits you to modify the brightness of the light as called for. The super long lasting light bulbs never need to be replaced.
What do I need to create a basic two umbrella studio lighting setup?
i want to create a basic two umbrella studio lighting setup.
Im using One silver umbrella as the 'main'
im using Another silver umbrella as the 'fill'
What Watt-age of light do I use on respectively ech umbrella?
Whats the difference between 'Studio Flash' and 'Fluoreseent Bulb ES'?
Thanks
In studio photography the wattage of the light usually stays the same. You just move the lights closer or further away from the subject to get the proper lighting ratio (main or key light at 5' and the fill at a longer distance will get you going) Using umbrellas help soften the light, especially when shooting people. I use "hot lights" because I can see the way the light is falling on my subject better.
Studio flash is usually about three to four times the cost of studio hot lights. Fluorescent Bulb ES is a new type lighting that I have yet to use or see in any of the studios I rent. They cost almost as much as "studio flash units".
