Which strobe and why?
Looking to add a couple more strobe lights to my collection. For professional use & at least 500w a head. Im also spending not more than $500 per strobe, a little more if it comes with softbox, bag etc.
I have a hensel contra right now which I like but I'm limited with diffusers and accessories. I am looking at alien bees/white lightning,elinchrom, bowens, interfit. They all run around the same. What do you guys think? I'm tempted to go w white lightning just because someone is selling their w.l.1800 for $200 which I think is a great deal.
If I could replace all of my lights today I'd replace them with the Einsteins. I love them.
For accuracy, power and consistency at the price? they are amazing.
Alien Bees are awesome for the price. They do have a bit of color inconsistency, but otherwise for the price they are amazing.
I have white lightnings and they are a step above the Alien Bees. I love my white lightnings. They are older models and I am not giving them up come hell or high water. Or coming into enough money to replace them with Einsteins. If the WL's fall into your budget for everything I wouldn't blink an eye at purchasing them.
All of the options are excellent, long lasting and high quality. I'd probably purchase the 1800.
