For A Great Shot, You Must Position The Subject Of Your Photo Where There Is Enough Light Directed At Their Faces As Camera Flash Is Not Enough
Having your own tank set up for tropical fish is a great start for owning your own pets. Tropical fish swimming in an aquarium is fun to watch not just for the owner but guests would also enjoy it. Having your own fish tank and taking care of the fish is a very simple thing to learn and it's a lot of fun. If you don't want to waste your money and all your efforts in managing your own aquarium then you must learn how to do it properly. Setting your own aquarium for tropical fish is not as easy as you may think as the lives of the fish depends on it. Your fish will be using the aquarium or the fish bowl as their own toilet as well. Fish manure inside the aquarium will degrade into toxic ammonia in just several hours. Ammonia is a toxin to aquarium fishes and this is a well known information to fish owners. The actual Nitrogen cycle is vital to be thoroughly carried out before you start adding fish in your own water tank. A lot of fish dies when the ammonia level rises as they excrete in the tank. The nitrogen cycle steps done by nature naturally convert the ammonia into nitrates thus the fish thrives. An aquarium finds an advantage of having nitrites in it and this is the end product of conversion from the toxic ammonia. A test kit for aquarium is the best way to monitor the level of nitrogen as accurately as possible for your aquarium.
It's very important for an aquarium owner to buy the right test kits for their detection of ammonia to be accurate. Nitrogen cycle manipulation and by partially changing the water in the tank with clean water will help in controlling the levels of nitrogen. To be effective in controlling the levels of nitrogen in the water you need to have enough time and patience. It can take between 2 weeks up to 2 months to properly cycle the nitrogen. Even without fish you can already start the process for nitrogen cycle in your fish tank. Decomposition of food in the fish tank leads to the ammonia release. To control the nitrate levels in the water one must test it periodically and change a portion of the water with clean water. The good bacteria in the water are killed when chlorinated water is added directly to the freshwater fish tank; it must first be treated before adding. Before adding your tap water to your aquarium, make sure you aerate it first in a bucket for several hours. Antibiotics that are added to the water in the aquarium also kill the good bacteria. Separate the infected fish from all the healthy fish and place it on a different tank and there you can add the antibiotics for treatment. A good and well taken cared of fish tank will keep your fish alive for its life span. You can kill the fish in your tank if you feed it more often than it requires. If the aquarium water looks cloudy, then it's time that you change the water in your tank.
