What bulb should i use for my burmese?
He is a small guy about 7 months in a 20 gallon long. it is winter cold in the house like 69 degress in his cage i just put in a 100w to get a nice 85 to 90 degress. I am using sun glow 100w bulb Daylight bulb.
Burms don't need UV, so any heat producing bulb that maintains the proper temp will do. However, lights suck humidity like crazy, which will lead to shedding and respiratory issues with your burm.
You would be better off getting a plastic tub for the winter. These hold heat and humidity much better than glass tanks, no matter what you do to the tank.
Also, if your Burm is, indeed, a male, he will likely top out at 15' max, but will much more likely be in the 10-12 foot range.
